We’re passionate about making the arts accessible for all —
and making it fun and meaningful, too.
Meet Dylann & Kris
The original school, Keyboard Art, was started by Chet Noll & Joyce Wonderly in 1993. They were passionate about bringing music, arts, and culture to the small community of Wrightwood and they successfully grew the school every year with their dedication and commitment. Having the groundwork laid, Chet & Joyce retired the business to Dylann & Kris, in hopes of keeping the music alive for many more generations to come.
Dylann began as a guitar and ukulele teacher at Keyboard Art in 2017. Her love for the community and students of the school was instilled during those years. When Dylann & Kris found each other, they became a mighty force of partnership and collaboration that served them in business, music, and education. Kris brought his expertise in classical and jazz guitar, recording, producing, engineering, woodworking, and his restless innovation and good ideas; Dylann brought her multi-instrument talents, photography, small business know-how, passion for inspiring young minds, and her enthusiasm for purpose, meaning, and growth.
Together, they founded the new evolution of Keyboard Art, Wrightwood Education Studio — or WES, for short. They now share many of their talents and passions with students all over the country, with the help of a growing number of incredible educators at their side.
“Making things, whether it’s a guitar solo, a hip-hop beat, a coffee table, a painting, or a piece of fiber art, has been a creative outlet for us our whole lives. Creativity has helped us grow, heal, process, and find joy in ordinary beauty and everyday life. We are so grateful and humbled that we get to share our gifts with so many students and give them the chance to experience the same thing.”

Our History
Chet Noll started the Keyboard Art Music Studio in 1993 with just two piano students. In 2005, Joyce Wonderly stepped on board, became Chet’s partner in life and in business, and started managing the studio. In 2014, she expanded the studio by adding other teachers, instruments, and art and renamed it Keyboard Art School of Music. Since combining forces, the school grew exponentially. Chet, in addition to being a pianist and composer, is nationally known for his woodwork. He is a master at crafting everything from intricate butterflies to full-scale harpsichords. His art has been featured at prestigious institutions such as the Huntington Library in Pasadena, the Denver Museum of National History, and the Ahwahnee in Yosemite National Park. Joyce founded the Wrightwood Classical Concert Series in 2015 to bring music, art, and culture to the community of Wrightwood.
In early 2020, Joyce announced her retirement and their plans to move up north to be closer to family. Dylann Asa & Kris Sveen had the honor of taking over the school and carrying on the legacy by providing music & arts education and performances in Wrightwood and beyond.
