Simone Gadlin

Dance & Choreography

— is a choreographer, dancer, instructor, performance artist, and youth mentor with over 15 years of dance experience and 7 years teaching. As a Southern California native, she began her dance education with The Inland Pacific Ballet, and Village Dance Arts in Claremont, CA. She later began expanding her training by attending Dallas Black Dance Theater Summer Intensives where she focused on ballet, modern, and hip-hop. Simone has been challenged and grown immensely due to the affluent instructors and choreographers including Kimberly Bears-Bailey (Philadanco Alumni), Janine Beckles (Philadanco Principle, Dallas Black Dance Theater Alumna), Deborah St. Charles (Alvin Ailey and Philadanco Alumna), Kimberly Gadlin (Philadanco Alumna), Donald Lundsford (Philadanco Alumni), and Milton Myers (Alvin Ailey Alumni). Currently, Simone is a member of the Philadelphia Dance Company Second Company. She has performed at many venues in Philadelphia and Los Angeles, including 2020’s International Association of Black Dance Philly and Friends, Xmas Philes with Phidanco, directed by Danny Ezralow, and The Los Angeles Dance Fringe Festival with Project 21. 

Simone teaches ballet, contemporary, jazz, lyrical, modern, and hip-hop. Along with performing, she has choreographed at many different venues all over Los Angeles, the Inland Empire, and Orange County including Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm and venues on Sunset Blvd. In the past, Simone has taken on the role of Assistant Director of Dance, as well as the after school Community Coordinator. She has served as the director of Richardson Prep Hi’s Dance Company, and choreographer for the Show Choir, Jazz Band, the San Bernardino Teen Music Workshop, and their featured group, Soulpointe. Simone was the creator and director of the Elite Dance Team at Bing Wong Elementary, and choreographed for the school’s 2018 Annual Multicultural Festival. 

Simone prides herself on maintaining the balance between her professional dancing career and teaching her students.
